High 5 Tickets to the Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts affordable for teens, while developiing new and younger audiences for New York City's arts community.

High 5 Tickets to the Arts was established in 1993 by a student from Stuyvesant High School as a volunteer effort in association with Ticketmaster, the American Symphony Orchestra and the New York Times.  With the help of these long-time supporters,  High 5 has enlisted participation from nearly all of the city's prominent arts, music, theatre, dance and visual arts providers.  Through the generousity of New York's event providers and the continuing support of Ticketmaster, which provides its state of the art computerized ticketing system to enable High 5 ticket sales, and with the founding grant from the Citigroup Foundation and other supporters, High 5 has provided more than 79,000 deserving teen students and their parents, mentors and teachers.  High 5 also provides after-school programs and other services for New York teens.

Through High 5, any student between the ages of 13 to 18 (or any student enrolled in a middle or high school program) with a valid school ID is eligible to purchase tickets for $5 each (limit 2 per student) to hundreds of New York's best dance, music, theatre, film, museum and spoken word events all year round.  Students who have purchased tickets to five High 5 events receive the sixth ticket as a complimentary gift courtesy of High 5's "Take 5" program.

For more information, please visit High 5's website, http://www.highfivetix.org.  Students may also visit the High 5 headquarters located at 1 East 53rd St, 5th Floor (near the E or V stop on 5th and 53rd) or call the High 5 hotline at 212-445-8587.
